Edinburgh’s Quay 2, Fountainbridge, is at the heart of the Exchange District, offering office space, amenities and transport connections for businesses. Following its purchase by Knight Frank Investment Management, Form Design Consultants was appointed by CuthbertWhite to provide a design scheme which updated and refreshed the building’s common parts and reception area for its occupiers. These currently include Pinsent Masons, Barclays, Baker Tilly and Lloyds TSB.
Form worked with the existing architectural elements to design a contemporary and welcoming space, with a sophisticated palette, using quality materials – Vtec panelling, composite stone and acoustic panels.
The introduction of LED lighting and stunning designer pendants has accentuated the ceiling height and enhanced the space’s volume, creating drama. New furniture pieces with elegant upholstery complements the new palette.
Having recognised that one of the weaknesses of Quay 2 was its dated and 'cathedral-like' reception, we turned to Form to assist us and our Client with an improvement. First impressions are everything for occupiers, and we knew that Form were market leaders in design and place making. Form made life easy for us and worked with us on design. The results were transformational and assisted in the early letting of remaining floors. We have used Form extensively since, and will continue to do so.
