International spirits company, Edrington Distillers, makes some of the world’s best known whiskies including The Macallan, The Famous Grouse, Cutty Sark and Highland Park, along with Brugal Rum and Snow Leopard Vodka.

Form Design was appointed as Lead Design Consultant for their new Headquarters in Glasgow city centre. 100 Queen Street is a recently renovated, seven storey, multi-tenant office building of which Edrington occupies the top four floors. Edrington required an office which reflected their brand, and Form Design worked closely with them to get the right aesthetic, through imagery and sketches, early in the design process.

The top floor, which has stunning views over Glasgow, houses the client-facing areas, with a large working bar, tasting room and meeting rooms.

The other three floors are dedicated to staff open-plan working spaces, each of which has a central project space with bespoke display areas, and writable/pinable surfaces which reflect the brand teams.

A large tea-prep on the middle floor, with exposed ceiling, sliding garage door and ping-pong table, provides a space for all staff to come together and relax.

The material and colour palette of oak, exposed brick, reclaimed timber, copper, burnt orange, mustard and dark blues was carefully chosen to evoke the sense of brand throughout the spaces.

Working with Form was a real pleasure, their ideas and creativity really challenged us to examine what we were trying to achieve with the workplace design. The end result is a beautiful, unique and interesting office that is an amazing place to work every day."
