New Strategy
In the spring of 2022, Form DC began the process of reimagining Wallace Whittle's workplaces through a strategic refurbishment program and a review of their UK accommodation.
The impact of the Pandemic in how, where and when we work, but also the effect on the way we use our offices, was recognised.
Brand identity
Following the successful relaunch of the Wallace Whittle brand, it was essential that the new offices became the physical manifestation of their creativity, values and personality, and the Glasgow office has led this ambitious change programme.
The look and feel, developed for the office by Form Design Consultants, embraces Wallace Whittle’s new identity, and will lead the design development of all other offices across their estate.
Human centred
Form DC worked with a local artist to create artwork which shares colleagues' favourite places in their city, and will give each office its own personality.
Sustainability and environmental impact were also key considerations when selecting finishes and products, alongside Wallace Whittle’s expertise in mechanical and electrical elements.
A variety of natural finishes was chosen to add warmth, colour and texture to the spaces.
The new office design is vibrant, energetic and people-focused.
Office appeal
Staff are key in the journey, moving forward, so culture was vital in the design process.
Wallace Whittle wanted the offices to represent their values, enable their people to be the best they can be, and attract and retain the best new talent.
The new offices act as a magnet, encouraging Wallace Whittle’s people into the workspace, enabling collaboration and improving effectiveness.
The space accommodates two conferencing-enabled meeting rooms, sound-proof phonebooths, an informal collaboration space, a generous social breakout area, and an open plan office space with 32 workstations.
Wallace Whittle’s new hybrid working model allows for a reduced number of workstations and a variety of work settings for their 50 Glasgow-based staff.
'With the company already embracing hybrid working, it allowed us to downsize slightly while investing in better quality space and a much higher level of fit out than we have in previous years which, in turn, has provided us with a space that will simply be a pleasure to work out of, for staff and clients alike'
