Requirements

Central Exchange is home to a number of leading businesses whose desire for refurbishment led to Form Design being approached to develop Concept Design proposals for the Common Parts.

The reception space has remained unchanged since its doors opened in 2004.

Feedback from tenants allowed Form to better understand requirements for a reception space update, with additional facilities for changing and showering, together with better access and security.

First impression

Three different design proposals were formulated and proposed, satisfying differing levels of spend, being mindful of the challenge of finding a striking solution for the vast space which is visible to passers by.

The result introduces subtle earth-toned floor, walls and ceiling creating a backdrop for a central lighting feature and projected imagery.

New speed lanes and showering facilities complete the refurbishment.
