This was underpinned by the introduction of end-of-trip facilities to support a healthy commute to the workplace.
For planet
With the last refurbishment of 155 St Vincent Street carried out in 2012, the need for revitalisation of common areas, redevelopment of vacant floor plates and addition of end-of-trip facilities was evident.
The brief was brought to life whilst prioritising longevity, adaptability and environmental responsibility.
Central to Form DC's approach was a rigorous assessment of the existing building fabric. Every project starts with the question, 'What can be retained, refurbished, or repurposed?'
By extending the life of existing elements wherever possible, waste is reduced, embodied carbon is conserved and any new interventions are considered and necessary.
Only once these opportunities are fully explored do we look to recycling or responsible disposal.
The entrance at 155, refurbished in 2025, and the subsequent office suites and end-of-trip facilities completed in 2026 exemplify this philosophy.
The previous formal reception space has been redesigned to create a softer and more welcoming environment, incorporating a refreshment point and informal seating.
Material choices create a muted, tactile palette which are durable, timeless and designed for long-term performance, with end-of-trip facilities being much more vibrant.
During the redevelopment of the vacant office suites, Form engaged with a prospective tenant and together adopted a shell-and-floor strategy, minimising unnecessary fit-out, reducing upfront carbon impact, and allowing flexibility for future occupation. This approach aligns with sustainability goals and commercial pragmatism.
Enhancing the building’s long-term usability, new cycle storage, showers and changing facilities have been introduced.
Recognising the evolving nature of urban mobility, Form incorporated dedicated space for cargo bikes, supporting lower-carbon commuting choices and responding to real-world user needs.
