ANM Group approached Form Design Consultants for advice on how to develop and refurbish Burnside, a derelict property, located in the thriving Easter Ross town of Dornoch. Form was appointed to develop the Interior Design for the project and coordinate the Statutory Approvals required for the conversion.
Form developed the concept design and brief, inspired by the local area’s natural palette of seascapes and rolling agricultural land and drawing on the traditional aesthetic of the building’s exterior, to provide relaxing and contemporary apartments. The interior was complemented with selected modern Scottish artworks and pieces to provide interest and talking points through the apartments.
Form provided Technical Design drawings to the Project Managers for tendering the refurbishment works and attended site during the fit out to ensure the design was being implemented correctly. Decorated to a high-specification, it can be rented as a five-bedroom accommodation or as separate two and three-bedroom units.
Burnside is now an immaculately refurbished self-catering stone villa centrally located in Dornoch, yet entirely surrounded by mature gardens with off-road parking and adjacent to the internationally-renowned Royal Dornoch Golf Club, ranked 6th in the world.
